With the twinkle twinkle of fairy lights illuminating the streets, the scent of mulled wine and mince pies lingering and Christmas markets popping up with traders selling their wares, I have composed my Christmas Gift Guide for 2018 featuring large and small businesses and catering for all budgets!
I adore the ‘Touch of Tweed’ sweatshirt. Smart Casual with elements of traditional countryside tweed adorning the pocket, neckline and collar. Available in a gorgeous cream with contrasting trim, it is perfect teamed with casual jeans and wellies for those soggy walks or dressed up with boots and a gilet for a cosy evening at the local public house.
Priced at £115 it is well worth the pennies and will be a classic piece that I guarantee won’t spend too much time in the wardrobe! It is also super special as these gorgeous sweatshirts aren’t from a huge international company – they are in fact the first of many designs from a wonderful small business based in Somerset! #supportsmallbusiness!

The next item on my list is actually a bit of a cheat as it is the brand I am showcasing!
The Pleasant Pheasant Co is another small business specialising in beautiful hand crafted and personalised gifts using the feathers from some of Britain’s best loved game birds! Martina creates absolutely beautiful pieces such as stunning glass baubles with feathers inside, captivating images with countryside scenes or pawfect pet portraits all with a backdrop or foreground of fabulous feathers. Bespoke pieces are a speciality and make perfect gifts for a loved one. My favourite pieces are the glass baubles finished with a shotgun cartridge end and the stunning hat pin she kindly created based on my requirements!
Prices start from under £10 and make perfect stocking fillers! Visit the Facebook page and have a look at more of her stunning work – orders close on the 12th in time for Christmas!!

What equestrienne that loves a bit of sparkle and shine doesn’t covet the Cherry Roller Range from Hiho Silver? Beautiful yet practical pieces that go from day to night with ease and style! The range currently features a variety of necklaces, bracelets, rings and earrings.
The range has recently expanded to include a gorgeous stock pin which can be made to your own colour specification – you could make it match your XC colours!
Alongside the stylish Cherry Roller range, Hiho also have other equestrian and country styled jewellery including pheasants, horseshoes, foxes and more! So there will definitely be the perfect gift no matter who you are buying for!

Most men (especially my other half) are notoriously hard to shop for. I have already been told “not to buy any presents as we have enough stuff in the house already!” I have promised to abide by this (this year only as we are going to London instead) but that doesn’t stop me window shopping for ideas that I can share with you all!
First on my list for the men is an essential from Mackenzie and George. Beautifully hand crafted leather key rings with a huge variety of finishes. Ideal for Car & House keys and maybe even for the Man Shed! The leather tag is available in 5 different colours with a Brass or Silver finish. For an extra special touch the key rings can be personalised both sides with initials, a name or even a date. Each key ring comes in a beautiful pouch so great if you don’t have time to gift wrap!
It’s all about layers this winter so next on my gift guide for the guys is the iconic Schoffel Oakham Gilet. More colours have been released for this year so there is so many to choose from including Fig, Navy through to the traditional green hues of Olive, Forest and Lincoln.
Priced at £139.99 they are strictly for boys on Santa’s Nice List however brownie points could be earnt with the purchase of a matching Lyndon Gilet for the ladies!
There are several imitations on the market, however I still cannot fault the overriding quality of ‘the real deal’ and personally think it is well worth the investment. If the man in your life owns one (or several) of these cosy, all year round essentials, then the equally cosy, long sleeved Cottesmore Fleece is a perfect alternative!
The brand is available to purchase from several retailers and below is a link to one of my favourite retailers that has them in stock! Click below to be taken straight to the Schoffel lines stocked!
Finally apart from socks, wallets are an easy gift to give that is usually well received and useful. So when I found these stunning leather wallets from Joules, I couldn’t resist adding them to my gift guide!
The Joules Tillman wallet comes gift boxed (saves a job…) and in two neutral colours – Brown and Tan. Both have lovely contrasting stitchwork & internal leatherwork and are finished off by a subtle embossed hare in the corner. This was another little find on the Outdoor and Country website so click and have a peek!
With enough change from £40 to buy a couple of drinks at the pub, its a perfect opportunity for him to get his wallet out and show it off!
I know lots of you have pets other than dogs BUT this guide would be super long if I tried to search for gifts for every other species of pet that’s owned….so i’m sticking to our canine companions!
Our three spaniels do seem to have a knack of getting VERY wet and Very muddy on walks and when they are working. So it seems only fair they have their own cosy fleece to ensure they stay warm, dry and keep my car slightly cleaner! The Hotterdog from Equafleece is a cheaper version of the normal Equafleece jumpers that comes in less colours and size options (five of each) but still retains the quality expected from such a well known brand
The medium size fits the Cocker spaniels perfectly and at only £19 are super cost effective – we bought ours from Black Horse Equestrian who is a lovely small business based in Somerset! We love the Grape and Forest Green on our girls (pictured) but they also come in Royal Blue, Red and Black!
Like socks and wallets are for men, collars are for dogs! I am a bit of a sucker for co-ordination and love the Pampeano Dog Collar range (especially the ones matching the belts!) Catering from small dogs to large, the collars are hand made in Argentina by local skilled craftsmen using the finest leather and waxed threads.
There are currently 8 of the traditional ‘Polo’ designs to chose from and all come with matching leads too! To add a special touch, your dog’s name can be embossed onto the lead with the choice of silver, gold or plain lettering. Delivery and personalisation are both complimentary too!

Now I know this isn’t strictly gifts BUT the festive season brings the right to decorate the house and find treasures that could stay up all year round!
This includes the STUNNING door wreaths made by the equally talented Kaye Hannabuss. Her wreaths are created using feathers, tweed and other country inspired materials to produce pieces that although festive, do not look out of place 365 days a year!

Keeping with the pheasant theme here brings me to my final find from Mulberry and Hare. Jessica has created an entire range of hand painted pheasants which feel very much at home on marble platters and coasters. Along side Mr Pheasant is also a stunning, quintessentially English range of Stags, Hares and Woodland Creatures all adorning the cream marble. The platters and sharing platters are a perfect size for festive goodies to be served upon and the coasters do a fabulous job of protecting surfaces from drink rings and marks.

i hope you all have a fabulous and festive Christmas and my Gift Guide gave you some ideas! Let me know what you all think!
