Since discovering Hi Ho Silver several years ago, they are now my go to designer for ALL my jewellery and usually the first place I visit at events like Badminton and Burghley Horse Trials. I am also very lucky that the Sherborne store is only a short car ride away, although this is somewhat dangerous for my purse!
I don’t tend to wear a lot of jewellery but when I do, I prefer it to be hard wearing enough that it can be worn 24/7 and withstand wear at work, horse riding & dog walking, as well as day to day life.
Given my lifestyle and distinct lack of love for generic Elizabeth Duke type jewellery (no offence meant Argos….) the Equestrian Range at Hi Ho ticks all my boxes! The Cherry Roller range is my absolute favourite and I VERY rarely take my necklace off at all!I tend not to wear earrings very often especially dangly earrings as they can be a bit of a risk whilst working – however when I do. I either have my lovely sterling silver horseshoe studs in which are great whilst riding and for general life, or my dangly stirrup earrings which look great for a day at the Horse Trials or equally a walk to the local!
I do however LIVE in my Cherry Roller necklace! I have the Rose Gold and Silver version and absolutely adore it! It is very ‘life’ resistant and still looks like new. I am constantly fiddling with it, straightening it and not once has it given any indication of weakening.
I have had necklaces before that after a few months of wear the chains snap or the clasp breaks. After over a year of pretty much constant wear, my Cherry Roller is still looking perfect. The double thickness of the chain gives much more strength and resilience and I believe this is the key to its longevity!
No necklace is complete without a bit of matchy matchy! So Christmas Day last year was super exciting as it was the first Christmas with a rather cute puppy AND I had a distinctive purple gift box under the tree with my name on it! I was delighted to unwrap the long coveted after Cherry Roller bracelet. Again the gorgeous Rose Gold and Silver combo which I wear constantly and stands up to a lot of wear and tear but still looks perfect even a year on!
So this Christmas I no longer have a puppy or a pony on my list but can think of lots more beautiful, shiny things from Hi Ho that I would love to find under the tree! If you are thinking of treating someone then they also offer a gift wrapping service to add that finishing touch!
It’s also not just us Equestrian types that are catered for, HiHo have a huge range of country inspired jewellery, traditional & simple pieces and a fabulous range of broaches, pins and gifts for men too!
